The Fattoria of Palazzo Vecchio is situated in the Valiano area; the Val di Chiana separating it from Montepulciano standing at an altitude of 350 mt it boasts a splendid all round view which embraces both Montepulciano and Cortona. This elevated position ensures a ventilated climate in the surrounding vineyards, a natural defence against bacterial maladies. At present the farming estate consists of a cultivation area of 85 hectares, 25 of which are vineyards reserved for the production of Vino Nobile.
